Where the fuel goes
Figures below are for one planned leg.
Compare cruise profiles
Whole journey, including stop allowances. Each profile can require a different number of stops. Uses preset cruise speeds and flows.

Climb
AUTO RICHCruise climb target after takeoff power reduction. Fly the IAS target and follow the aircraft checklist for temperatures, obstacles and power limits.
Normal cruise
AUTO LEANUse Auto Lean when settled at appropriate cruise power and temperatures. Confirm available power and mixture operation in Duckworks.
Descent
AUTO RICHAdjust to actual speed and engine temperatures. Allow room for terrain and the arrival.

Units
AVGAS conversion assumes 0.72 kg/L. Fuel flow is always for both engines combined.
Tank capacity
804 US gal total
Two 202 gal mains + two 200 gal auxiliaries.
Based on your reported simulator tanks. Reduce the usable limit if your installation has unusable fuel or a lower limit.
Match your simulator
If comparable flights burn 10% more than predicted, try 110%. This adjusts all phases and reserves.
Performance assumptions
Cruise override 0 uses the preset. Overrides still receive weight, mixture and calibration adjustments.
About this estimate
Web version 0.3.0 · Built for Cotton.
Independent companion for Duckworks in MSFS 2024. Approximate simulator planning, not verified aircraft performance data.
Fuel stops & reserves
Long routes are split into equal estimated legs that fit the fuel and takeoff weight limits. Every leg includes taxi, takeoff, climb, cruise, descent, approach, contingency, alternate and reserve allowances.
All estimated legs use the same entered weight, weather, cruise altitude and airport elevations. Actual airfields are not selected. Choose suitable fuel stops and recalculate each real leg before flying it.
Journey fuel used is the sum of taxi and airborne fuel across all legs. Fuel supplied adds the final remaining fuel; reserves carried between stops are not counted as burned or purchased again. Refuel amounts assume the predicted fuel remains at each stop.
Performance & limitations
Reference weight: 10,886 kg. Economy, Normal and Fast use 26/28/30 inHg at 2,050 RPM, 130/140/150 kt IAS and 82/92/102 US gal/h in Auto Lean. Climb uses a 700 ft/min reference and 154 US gal/h. Descent uses 65 and taxi 24 US gal/h. Auto Rich multiplies cruise flow by 1.18.
Weight affects climb and speed. QNH and departure temperature define an atmospheric offset carried to cruise. The model does not account for icing, turbulence, wear, terrain, centre of gravity or supercharger transitions.
Altitude entry extends to 20,500 ft MSL. Above 12,000 ft, performance is extrapolated and available power is not verified. Profiles are suggested settings to test, not proven optimal settings.
Without fuel means aircraft, crew and payload. Including fuel means ramp weight with the recommended leg fuel aboard; for a journey, the same ramp weight is assumed for every leg. Use without fuel for clearer payload planning.

The Duckworks developer page describes revised fuel burn, custom mixture and manual supercharger control. A complete performance table for this installation was not available.
The Normal cruise seed comes from Microsoft’s legacy DC-3 notes. Other profiles and corrections are provisional assumptions carried over from the Android prototype. The tank total is supplied by the user.
